Dermal Fillers Earlsfield

Dermal fillers are used to help reduce deep lines on the face, define shape or plump up and hydrate the lips as well as accentuating cheekbones.

DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers restore lost volume and plump areas so that deep set wrinkles are smoothed. The dermal fillers we use (Juvederm, Restylane and Teosyal) contain hyaluronic acid which occurs naturally in the body and gives the skin it’s youthfulness (elastic properties creating volume and smoothness).

Dermal filler results are seen immediately and can last 6-18 months. The treatments take around 30-45 minutes and include application of an anaesthetic cream. A consultation and thorough medical history is required prior to treatment to make sure that you are suitable and that we understand your wishes.

At Dove Dental & Wellbeing Spa we aim to enhance your natural beauty so that your friends and family comment on how refreshed you look!

DERMAL FILLERS FAQs

What are dermal fillers?

The dermal fillers we use (Juvederm, Belotero, Restylane and Teosyal) contain hyaluronic acid which occurs naturally in the body and gives the skin it’s youthfulness (elastic properties creating volume and smoothness). Dermal fillers work by replacing natural hyaluronic acid of the skin.

What are they used for?

Dermal fillers are used to help reduce deep lines on the face, define shape or plump up and hydrate the lips as well as accentuating cheekbones. They restore lost volume and plump areas so that deep set wrinkles are smoothed.

Areas treated include;

-Lip enhancement of either shape and volume or both.

-Nose to mouth lines

-Chin creases

-Enhance jaw lines and decrease jowls

-Facial profiling to harmonise the face often using cheek, chin, jaw and nose fillers

-Non Surgical nose jobs

How long does it take to work?

The results are seen immediately

How long will it last?

Depending on the area treated and the product chosen for that specific treatment fillers can last 6-9 months and sometimes over 12 months.

Will I get duck lips or look puffy?

No we don’t like the ‘duck lips’ or the ‘trout pout’. We customise every treatment to your need and wishes and avoid the puffy look.

What happens during your appointment?

After consultation the area to be treated will have some numbing cream placed which can take 20 minutes to work. The filler is injected under the skin to plump up the area and restore volume.

How long does my appointment take?

Your appointment will be 30-45minutes depending on treatment areas.

Will it hurt?

Numbing cream is applied to the skin. For lip fillers, dental blocks can be administered so you don’t feel any pain. Most dermal fillers contain local anaesthetic to make your experience as comfortable as possible.

What are the risks?

Redness, bruising, swelling, itchiness and tenderness to the area can be normal for the first day. Potential lumps can be gently massaged. If you are prone to cold sores there is a chance you will get one after lip treatment. We would avoid lip treatment completely if you have an active cold sore on presentation.

Are fillers suitable for everyone?

No, you need to be deemed suitable for treatment which is why we insist on a face to face consultation.

You should avoid dermal fillers if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have anaphylaxis reactions or are taking blood thinning medications such as warfarin, heparin, rivaroxaban, apixaban.
