HOME TeeTH WHITENING

Whitening your teeth in the comfort of your own home is a great way to take your care into your own hands.

To start with initial photos are taken to record the colour of your teeth at the beginning of the tooth whitening process. A custom-made whitening tray (mouth guard) is then made for your teeth and you will be provided with a set of tooth whitening gels.

You will have the choice of wearing the trays with the whitening gel during the day or night, whichever is most convenient for you. The whitening process usually takes place over 2 weeks. During this time you will see your teeth gradually getting whiter.

After the 2 week period you will attend a review appointment to check your results and take final photos to help see how your whiter, brighter smile has emerged.

Benefits Of Teeth Whitening

At Dove Dental & Wellbeing Spa, we know how beneficial a bright, healthy smile can be. Here is a list of the benefits of getting your teeth whitened:

1. Guaranteed Results

Most likely, you’ve tried various methods of teeth whitening and had disappointing results. Whitening at your local beauty salon can lead to unpredictable results and inconsistent whitening. Professional whitening can provide results that are not only more predictable but are also of the highest quality. Once you’re done with your session with one of our clinicians, you’ll have maintenance plans to use in the comfort of your own home.

 2. Comfortable And Risk-free Treatment

If you are not careful, over-the-counter whitening remedies may hurt your gums or even make your teeth more sensitive to everyday food items. Instead of using harsh chemicals that can be damaging to your teeth, we can give you instructions for proper oral care, protect your teeth, and help you get relief from sensitive teeth. Our clinicians can treat you in a safer way because they are trained in their procedures. Our clincians will also check in to ensure that your teeth are protected from any damage. Lower concentrations of whitening agents lessen the risk of sensitive gums and teeth; likewise, higher concentrations increase it.

3. Better Oral Health

Brushing your teeth just twice a day isn’t enough for oral health. It is important that you visit your dentist regularly for an examination as this helps take care of your general health. Maintaining good oral health could help prevent future serious health problems. Symptoms that arise from poor oral health may include mouth ulcers and organ failure. Getting your teeth whitened by a dentist will help you prevent those stains, which will leave your teeth healthy and strong.

4. Improved Self Esteem

One of the many attractive qualities in the people you meet is their smile. Most people have a tendency to tie their sense of self-worth to their physical appearance. You might feel more confident with a bright smile. That’s why you will find it easier to meet new people and make friends when you look presentable.

Teeth whitening is a way to change the colour of your teeth without causing them any damage. It can help to improve discolouration caused by smoking, or drinks like tea, coffee and red wine. We may suggest that you visit one of our hygienists to remove any stains prior to starting your teeth whitening journey, to help you achieve the brightest smile. If you’re looking for professional teeth whitening in Earlsfield, look no further than Dove Dental and Wellbeing Spa. Our dedicated team will provide you with premium service from start to finish, ensuring that your mouth and smile are given a brighter appearance in a couple of visits depending on the amount of lightening your smile requires. So why not contact us today? We can give you more information or set up an appointment straight away if you wish.

Teeth Whitening FAQs

Why Do Teeth Turn Yellow?
Over time, teeth may naturally turn yellow as they lose their protective coating due to frequent chewing and exposure to acid in foods and drinks. While most teeth go yellow as they age, some are greyish and give the appearance of being stained with food, even though they’re not.
How Long Does Teeth Whitening Last?

Teeth whitening is temporary. It typically lasts for a few months to up to three years – the effect can vary for individuals. It won’t last as long if you smoke or drink red wine, tea, or coffee, which can all stain your teeth.

What Should You Avoid Doing Before Teeth Whitening?

Make sure to avoid flossing teeth before you get your teeth whitened as it could cut your gums and make you sore afterwards. Using one’s regular mouthwash is sufficient. No need to skip out on eating before a teeth whitening appointment! You’ll need something in your stomach for a few hours after your appointment, so eat before you get your teeth whitened.

Is Teeth Whitening Painful?

Usually, teeth whitening is completely painless, but if you have weakened enamel, the process may cause sensitivity for a few days. The intensity of these side effects is proportionate to the strength of the peroxide bleach, the duration of the treatment, and the combination of the components used.

How To Prevent Teeth Staining

With only a few minor adjustments to your habits, you may be able to ward off tooth discolouration. If you are a coffee drinker, try cutting back or finding a new beverage. And if you smoke, find help to quit because it also impacts more than just your dental health. You could maintain a high level of dental hygiene by brushing and flossing your teeth regularly and visiting your dentist at least twice a year. You should also see your dentist if your teeth become unusually discoloured despite your best oral hygiene efforts, or if other symptoms present themselves.

How Much Does Teeth Whitening Cost?

Teeth whitening price varies between dental practices. Generally, teeth whitening performed at home is less expensive than in-office whitening because you’re not spending as much time in the office. Contact Dove Dental and Wellbeing Spa for teeth whitening and schedule a consultation to assess whether you are a suitable candidate. You will have to pay for the consultation.
